I helped these students create an alternative project for some math concepts they were exploring. I loved that I only had to show them the basics of Prezi, some video techniques including the green screen, and some tips on writing a script. Then they took off! Here is their finished project.
In 2008 I was lucky enough to help design a new school library from scratch. I created this in Sketchup (CAD/3Ddesign software) before the school opened to get a feel for how the library would look and to plan on where to place books and resources. It was so cool being able to show Locust Grove Elementary students, parents, and teachers what the library would look like well before we were able to open the doors.
I helped to create this wikispaces wiki to help provide a central location for resources for our district’s library media specialists. We found it nearly impossible to keep printed binders updated each year, and as new librarians would join us, this space made it much easier to share and collaborate on common concerns and projects. fou
I’ve been working on transferring my “portfolio” of projects over to my new site. This poetry project was one of my first websites that I created for students at Camden Station during Poetry Month in 2004!
